The School’s scientific research is carried out through 16 laboratories and research groups, concentrating on four key areas: power systems and energy, automation and control, electronics and integrated circuits, and communication engineering. Research directions range from integrated circuit and system-on-chip (SoC) design, neuromorphic chips, Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and biomedical engineering to electric vehicles, smart grids, renewable energy, 5G–6G communications, microwave antennas and aerospace electronic systems. Research activities are closely linked across basic research, technology development, product fabrication and knowledge transfer into practice.
