As part of the regular monthly career orientation and experiential learning series, on May 4th, 2024, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) welcomed 10th-grade Math-Informatics students from Tạ Quang Bửu High School.

This activity aims to give students a comprehensive perspective in career orientation, aligning with the Government's vocational education initiative for high schools. During the event, held at Building C7, the students were introduced to emerging technologies such as AIoT, embedded systems, IC design, and semiconductors. Given the current trend of interdisciplinary convergence, students were encouraged to broaden their horizons and, in the words of Associate Professor Nguyễn Đức Minh, Head of Admissions, to “choose careers where AI cannot replace humans.”

At the Yaskawa Mechatronics Robotics Lab, students were excited to control a robotic arm within a smart manufacturing system. Their expressions were a mix of amazement and confusion as they piloted drones for the first time in a simulated sea rescue activity at the Aerospace Electronics Lab. There was even a touch of playful disappointment, especially among the girls, when they lost to the computer in a game at the Human-Machine Interaction and Sensory Environment Lab.

In Building D8, students proudly celebrated small victories as they assembled circuits and adjusted code to light up LED bulbs on their own.

Throughout the tour, members of the Youth Union enthusiastically offered career guidance. Students also got to learn from university club members about smart home IoT systems and self-driving vehicles.

We hope this experience ignites a strong passion in the students for pursuing careers in engineering. The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering looks forward to welcoming them again in the upcoming admission season. Below is a photo series capturing moments of the students, their teachers, and parents from Tạ Quang Bửu High School.
