General Overview

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a sub-unit under Hanoi University of Science and Technology and is a core training and research institution in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The main function of the School is degree training, scientific research and knowledge transfer in the fields of Electrical - Electronics and multimedia engineering.

The strategic goals of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering are to:

- To become a leading institution for training highly qualified human resources in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, with an interdisciplinary and integrative approach, meeting the demands of society and the labor market.

- To establish itself as a reputable research, development, and application hub for interdisciplinary technologies in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, recognized nationally, regionally, and globally.

- Be an attractive and reliable destination for investment, cooperation and technology transfer for domestic and international organizations and businesses;

- To play a crucial role in the development of the Electrical and Telecommunications sector in Vietnam, contributing significantly to economic and social development, industrialization and modernization, as well as national security and defense.

- To be one of the leading units driving the overall development of HUST in alignment with its strategic growth objectives.

Goals to 2030

The development goals for the period of 2021 - 2025 will be the basis for the goals of the next 5 years (2025 - 2030), to bring the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering to a new milestone of development with the following basic goals:

- To maintain its position as the top institution in Vietnam for education in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

- Become a prestigious training institution in Southeast Asia in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, recognized by many partners and has extensive international cooperation in the field of scientific research, student and staff exchange, gradually increasing the number of international students who join the campus.

- To be a modern undergraduate and postgraduate training institution with strong international integration, demonstrated by: an increasing number of English-taught programs; the adoption of modern teaching methods and digital infrastructure; internationally accredited training programs; highly regarded graduates at the bachelor's, engineer’s, master's, and doctoral levels; and a growing ratio of graduate and PhD students to undergraduates.
