Mô tả học phần

This course provides learners with a general understanding of the power system, basic knowledge of economic and technical calculations in the design and operation of the power distribution systems, calculation in the medium and low voltage power systems. After comleting this course, learners are able to: Understand the structure of the power distribution systems: the production and distribution of electricity, electrical loads and power distribution systems diagrams. Understand and calculate electrical loads and economic-technical aspects of power distribution systems. Know how to calculate and design a power distribution system to ensure the requirement of the load.

Introduction to Power Systems provides an overview of the structure and operation of power systems, focusing on fundamental pronciples and economic-technical aspects in the design and operation of medium and low voltage power distribution systems. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to describe the structure of power systems, explain methods for calculation electrical loads, and analyze factors affecting power quality. Teaching methods include project-based learning, practice-based learning, and problem-based learning through practice case studies. Assessment is based on assignments, group projects, and final exam.

  • CLO1 Describe the structure, function, and characteristics of a power distribution system, including power sources, power distribution networks, and electrical loads according to current standards.
