Bà Nguyễn Thanh Hường nhận học vị Tiến sĩ về Sóng vô tuyến và Quang điện tử năm 2014 của trường ĐH Grenoble-Alpes, Cộng hòa Pháp. Hiện tại bà Nguyễn Thanh Hường là Giảng viên chính tại Khoa Tự động hóa, Trường Điện - Điện tử, Đại học Bách khoa Hà Nội. Các hướng nghiên cứu quan tâm hiện tại bao gồm: Đo lường và cảm biến, mạng cảm biến không dây, ăng ten và truyền sóng, công nghệ RFID không chip và ứng dụng AI trong đo lường.
